Spanish-Style Custom Home Rebuild in San Marino
A Spanish-Style Estate, Rebuilt From the Ground Up
This San Marino project is a Spanish-style custom home rebuild, currently in progress. The original single-story estate was taken down in full, making way for a new custom home that carries the property's Spanish architectural character into a modern build.
A rebuild at this scale is a chance to reimagine the home entirely — a new footprint, a second story, and signature details like arched openings, all designed and engineered from scratch.
Starting From a Landmark Home
The project began with the original single-story Spanish estate on its mature, tree-lined lot. After planning the new home, the existing structure was fully demolished and the site cleared and graded.
From there the work moved below grade — forming and pouring a new foundation sized for a larger, two-story custom home.
Foundation, Steel, and a Framed Spanish Silhouette
After demolition, our crew laid out the new foundation with formwork and rebar, set structural steel columns, and poured the slab. That structural base carries the weight and the spans a two-story Spanish design demands.
From the slab up, framing began — and with it, the home's character returned. Framed arched openings and a two-story massing define the new silhouette. The project is still active, and the gallery below follows it from the original estate through demolition, foundation, and framing.
The Spanish Character Returns
In framing, the home's Spanish style comes back to life — arched openings, generous spans, and a two-story form rising against the San Marino skyline.
This is a custom home built as one cohesive design, from the foundation to the details that give it its character.
