Custom Home Rebuild in West Hills
A Custom Home, Rebuilt From the Foundation Up
This Strathern St project in West Hills is a custom home rebuild, currently in progress. It runs the full arc of a ground-up build — a new foundation, complete framing, and a modern, custom interior taking shape inside.
A custom rebuild is where structure and design meet. Every stage, from the concrete pad to the finished floors, is built to one cohesive plan rather than adapted from what stood there before.
Building the Base
The project started below grade. Our crew excavated and graded the lot, then formed and poured a new foundation and slab engineered for the home above it.
With a solid base in place, framing followed — walls, a vaulted roof structure, and the openings that would become the home's signature windows.
From Frame to a Finished Modern Interior
Above the foundation, the home took shape in wood: framed walls, an open vaulted ceiling, and large window and slider openings framing the yard. From there the work moved inside — drywall, finishes, and wide-plank hardwood floors.
The result is a bright, modern interior with clean lines and generous glass. This project is still active, and the gallery below follows it from the poured slab through the finished rooms.
A Modern Home Comes Together
Inside, the finished space shows what a custom rebuild delivers: an open plan, a vaulted ceiling, wide-plank floors, and walls of glass connecting the rooms to the outdoors.
This is a home designed and built as one — from the foundation to the final finishes.
