This Westlake Village home is undergoing a comprehensive interior renovation — a scope that touches nearly every room while refreshing how the house looks and functions.
The work brings together several trades under one project: upgrades to the kitchen and laundry room, removal and replacement of the balcony and stairway railings, installation of new doors throughout, and extensive touch-up painting across the interior. The focus is on refreshing the home's finishes while improving everyday functionality.
New Railings, Inside and Out
Both the stairway and balcony railings were removed and replaced — work that has to be sequenced carefully around the existing structure and brought up to current code for height, spacing, and load.
The stairway is the visual spine of the home's entry, so getting the new railing right shapes how the whole interior reads.
Kitchen, Laundry, and Finish Work Throughout
The kitchen and laundry room are being upgraded as part of the same scope, with new doors installed throughout the home and extensive touch-up painting bringing the finishes back to a consistent standard.
Renovation work inside an occupied, finished home takes a different kind of sequencing than new construction — protecting what stays while replacing what doesn't.
